The partnership will see the company commit to donating at least £500 through a number of red-themed fundraising activities, including covering Mike in 25 liters of red gunge .
The association carries out its work of changing life in the borough thanks to the support of its network of local solidarity businesses.
A donation will be used to fund the Youth Zone campaign to support young people and their families through the cost of living crisis by continuing to offer affordable services and hot meals throughout the winter.
Open seven days a week; the charity offers up to 20 activities each evening focused on inspiring and empowering young people to realize their potential.
Fundraising Manager Lynsey Heyes said: “Without the support of the local community, Wigan Youth Zone would not be able to deliver the vital services that our community needs and are in greater demand than ever.
“Our network brings together businesses to support our young people, which is particularly important as families face many challenges, including the rising cost of living.
“It’s truly amazing that Truline Construction and Interior Services Ltd have decided to invest in the future of young people by supporting the Youth Zone and we can’t wait to see Mike Hyde covered in red slime and gunge!”
Mr Hyde said: “At Truline we are proud of our roots and want to ensure that the children of the borough have the best possible start in life.
“As supporters of such an inspiring charity, we understand the difficult times families are going through at the moment, and the Youth Zone is a great benefit to the Wigan community. We look forward to playing our part in raising much-needed funds and support for young people.”
