US Army on track to select TITAN supplier in coming months
WASHINGTON — The U.S. Army plans to select a sole-source by the end of June for the second phase of its next-generation ground system development effort.
The service awarded contracts to Raytheon and Palantir in January 2021 to evolve designs for its Tactical Intelligence Targeting Access Node, which is being developed to help connect sensors to users in the field to to support targeting beyond line of sight.

Both Raytheon and Palantir have received additional 12-month transaction agreements worth $8.5 million each for their Phase I work. The military has used TITAN substitutes in the past to test its vision aimed at reducing the delay between sensor and shooter and providing a level of detection capability that improves the effectiveness of sniping. In March 2020, the service conducted a live-fire exercise in Germany where a TITAN surrogate ground station provided satellite sensor data to shooters.
