Selection of the best rental company

14.07.2022

The International Access at Height Federation (IPAF) will launch its latest webinar next week, to help end-users select a rental company accredited to the IPAF Rental+ quality assurance standard.

The pre-recorded talk will be ‘live’ at 12:00 – 12:00 – Thursday July 21 on the association’s YouTube channel and will examine the IPAF Rental+ standard in detail.

Although aimed at end users, it should also prove to be a useful tool for members of IPAF rental companies who have achieved the standard to use as part of their marketing efforts. Audited accreditation, which is now mandatory for tenant members in the UK, demonstrates that the holder has met and maintains high standards of training, equipment inventory and customer satisfaction.

Speakers include:

Martin Specter, who has run the IPAF Rental+ program since last year, started out as a delivery driver before becoming a freelance instructor and IPAF examiner and auditor. He also served on the IPAF Rental+ committee and is now responsible for the future development of the programme.
Tony Seddon managing director, Fall Arrest Safety Equipment Training (FASET), is also general secretary of the Work at Height Safety Association (WAHSA), the Specialist Access Engineering & Maintenance Association (SAEMA), the UK Metal Decking Association (UKMDA) and also administrator of the Access Industry Forum (AIF).
Alana Paterson HSE Manager, at Nationwide Platforms, has nearly 20 years of experience in construction health and safety. Prior to joining Nationwide in 2020, she worked for some of the UK’s leading Tier 1 contractors and is a member of IPAF’s International Safety Committee and the UK Strategy Forum’s Factory Safety Group.

Matt Cragg, managing director of rental company Just4Access, began his career in powered access in 2012, when he co-founded Just4Access with his father. Five years ago the company launched a charter operation operating a fleet in the South West of England and South Wales.
