San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy Executive Director Honored by SD County Board of Directors

On November 7, President Nathan Fletcher and all members of the San Diego County Supervisory Board proclaimed November 7, 2021 as “Trish Boaz Day” throughout San Diego County. They congratulated Boaz, Executive Director of the San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy (SDRVC) since 2013, for her exceptional service and commitment to the San Diego community.

Presented to Boaz at the annual River Valley Fest at the Hilton in Del Mar, the proclamation states that Boaz has faithfully and diligently served the citizens of San Diego County and the San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy, dedicating himself to environmental issues ever since. over 35 years old.

Her career began in the county, where she served as an environmental resource manager, land use planning and environmental policy advisor, and head of the resource management division, before being chosen to lead SDRVC.

During her tenure as Executive Director of SDRVC, she developed and energized programs and projects supporting key conservation pillars – conservation, education and recreation – and led conservation efforts to raise funds for the outdoor Birdwing class at the San Dieguito Lagoon, on the coast at the Crest Trail Alignment in Pamo Valley, habitat restoration projects on 45 acres, Phases 2 and 3 at River Path Del Mar and the acquisition of 118 acres in Del Dios and in the lagoon of San Dieguito.

The Coast to Crest Trail Challenge, now in its 5th year and completed by over 2,000 hikers, raised awareness of the beautiful trails of the San Dieguito River Valley.
