Mirantis has acquired amazee.io, the ZeroOps application delivery hub designed by developers to free them from the work of deploying, migrating and operating in the cloud.
The company was founded in 2017 to improve the developer experience by fully automating application and infrastructure operations and integration tasks for app makers.
amazee.io is the creator of the Lagoon open source project, an application delivery platform, available on GitHub under Apache License 2.0. Lagoon is a cloud-native platform for deploying, managing, security, and operating applications that reduces the burden on developers in terms of infrastructure management.

For organizations that already have Kubernetes up and running, there is Lagoon-as-a-Service (LaaS) which allows teams to install the Lagoon remote agent into their existing Kubernetes clusters, connect them to the Lagoon Core managed by amazee.io and deploy them correctly. a way. This removes the need to install and manage a Lagoon Core and allows teams to focus on what they are good at: application development.
Previously, Mirantis acquired Docker Enterprise in 2019 and integrated it into its Kubernetes platform. Nearly 100 new customers have chosen Mirantis container technology to support their digital transformation initiatives and customer satisfaction has skyrocketed.
Shortly after the Docker deal, Mirantis doubled down on its commitment to open source, hiring the staff behind Kontena – and investing in Lens and k0s development. Kontena’s technology has been integrated into Mirantis Kubernetes Engine and Mirantis Container Runtime.
