HealthTeam Advantage integrates Bamboo Health’s Pings solution to strengthen provider collaboration and improve patient outcomes

Real-time electronic notifications reduce costs and unnecessary usage while improving coordinated and quality care

The Pings deployment provides real-time electronic admission, discharge, and transfer (ADT) notifications for the 15,000 members of HTA’s PPO and HMO Medicare Advantage plan in North Carolina.

HTA is a subsidiary of Cone Health, a nonprofit healthcare network that first used Pings to better manage patient care journeys and improve health outcomes in 2017. With this implementation, the Medicare Advantage plan will build on its mission to improve the health and well-being of its members. through a commitment to personalized service, quality and health care. Through the use of Pings, HTA receives real-time electronic notifications whenever patients experience care events, allowing the company to adapt how it manages its PPO and HMO patient populations. Whether a patient is in a hospital, post-acute care facility, or presenting to the emergency department, the solution alerts payers and providers of their patient’s status in real time. This allows them to intervene and communicate with members of the care team before a patient receives treatment or schedule follow-up appointments in a timely manner.

For example, Pings will be integrated with HTA’s Unified Messaging tool to automatically enable pre-authorizations. This, in turn, will streamline processes for ETS staff and members receiving care. Other use cases for Pings include enabling more informed care encounters, increasing member engagement, and providing real-time visibility into care transitions. These capabilities help HTA ensure the best possible outcome for all members.
