The technology group ClearCourse Partnership acquired EKM for an undisclosed amount.

The Preston-based e-commerce and online retail software company processes more than £ 350million in transactions each year for its SME online retail customers.

“We are thrilled to join the ClearCourse group, which will take us the next steps on our nearly 20-year journey to help even more people spend their lives doing something they love with their own store in easy-to-use line, ”said Antony Chesworth, Founder and CEO of EKM.

“The range of services, products and expertise within ClearCourse offers great synergies to our clients and will help us to further develop their online business. “

EKM provides online store design and visitor conversion tools, and the acquisition means customers will also have access to ClearCourse’s proprietary payment platform.

“We are very happy to announce that EKM will join the ClearCourse group,” added Gerry Gualtieri, CEO of ClearCourse.

“This is a fantastic company that has grown steadily since its inception, and we are delighted to learn from the expertise of Antony and her team. EKM will bring a range of positive synergies to ClearCourse and our existing brands, and its acquisition will be a significant expansion of our e-commerce and retail offering. “
